Her name is Lisa. In 7th and 8th grade all of Lisa’s school friends didn’t want to be friends with her anymore, so they made up rumors that she said bad things about everyone. They would block seats on the bus so couldn’t sit down, leave the lunch table so she would sit alone and they stopped calling her to hang out. In 9th grade they would steal pens out of her backpack and throw paper at her in science lab, but then teachers would blame her for it and she would get in trouble. Her friends told her they wouldn’t care if she jumped off the roof of the school. Her teachers didn’t pay attention to what was going on - they just put people in detention, which made it a lot harder for her to deal with. Later on she joined theatre and started to make new friends. Lisa thinks it’s really important for teachers to pay attention and other kids to be the hero and be that voice for the voiceless.
